Programs in DC and States!

As a leading progressive organization, America Votes is committed to help mentor the rising stars of the progressive movement. Interns for America Votes will be involved with the day-to-day operations and will learn about AV and how we operate. Our goal is to recruit smart, hardworking interns that will be able to manage in a small, fast-paced organization, and will quickly learn the roles and responsibilities of organizing policy makers and partners alike.

Washington, DC Program

Interns at America Votes have the opportunity to work for a leading progressive organization and among some of the most influential progressive groups in the nation. In addition to learning new skills and concepts, interns recieve an inside look at how the America Votes coalition operates year round nationally and in states to advance progressive policies, expand access to the ballot, coordinate issue advocacy and election campaigns, and protect every American's right to vote.

America Votes interns have the opportunity to network with professionals at a variety of progressive advocacy organizations working in both DC and in states. Our internship program promises to provide more than the normal "9am-6pm" experience with numerous opportunities outside the office, including trainings, events with our partners and occasional evening office outings.

We accept applications on an ongoing basis. To apply, please submit your resume, cover letter, and references to Interns accepted into the program will be asked to work at least 16 hours per week. The internship is unpaid, but does provide a transportation stipend. College credit is available.
