Six years later, America Votes has grown from an election year table into a permanent pillar of the progressive movement. The America Votes coalition is now essential to maintaining progressives' greater coordination, effectiveness and accountability.

With each election cycle, America Votes has steadily increased the electoral impact of our coalition and the services provided to our partners, which include leading social justice, environmental, labor, pro- choice, education, health care and civil rights organizations.

The historic 2008 election captivated the interests of a new generation, new regions of the country and produced millions of new progressive voters. The unparalleled enthusiasm on the groun resulted in tremendous growth for the America Votes coalition and our partners' focus on persuadable and drop-off voters made an enormous impact. Progressives turned out in historic numbers across all 14 America Votes states.
