Capitol Sit In Update:
"The testimony is still going. A ton of students showed up with pillows and blankets so we have a great turnout- maybe 400? The overflow room is full and people were lined up in the halls on the 3rd and 4th floors but now camped out in the rotunda. Senator Taylor came out and briefed everyone on the situation. At this point they think they will be here until 2:00 a.m. -3:00a.m. listening to the people who had signed up earlier. They are not allowing anyone else to sign up to speak but we are collecting names and having everyone fill out slips. Everyone has agreed to stay until they can speak- however long that takes. We bought a bunch of water- and staff are keeping people occupied and calm. It truly is an amazing sight to see all of these people who are willing to stay all night to be heard and talk about how this devastating bill impacts their lives and the state of Wisconsin."
